Today was our travel day. However, before leaving for London
we met and had discussions about business plans at three different companies:
Anthony Travel, Learfield Sports, and Conference USA. Taking a bus to all three
of these companies situated in and around the area of Dallas we sat down with
many of their employees.
Anthony Travel
This company deals with and manages trips for athletes and athletic events. Usually centered around collegiate athletics and bowl games, the travel company has been around for 28 years. Our group sat in on an hour presentation about the company and was able to hear the background and growth of one of their prominent women employees.
Learfield Sports
A company much like IMG, Learfield works with licensing around colleges, starting with Missouri and their radio. They call themselves a one-stop shop for athletics and sponsoring for colleges. If you have any doubt, check out their office, decked out with sports products and tv's everywhere. Want a visual...okay :)

Conference USA Offices
For those of you who don't know, Conference USA is a mid-major conference in collegiate athletics. Here we met their whole office, received a tour, and interestingly enough I was quite intrigued by a possibility to work for them in the future. At least, doing event management / sports for a conference. This meeting was definitely my favorite and starting my thoughts churning once again in relation to my future. (This seems like a regular occurrence on this program)
